‘Trials is coming home.’

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition marks the Trials franchise’s triumphant return to the PC gaming platform.

RedLynx’s signature franchise, the Trials series first made its mark in gaming with the 2008 release of Trials 2 SE for the PC. That breakout indie success led to further success on the Xbox, but ever since then PC gamers have been clamoring for more Trials. Here it comes.

Two Trials in One

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will contain all the content of the original, best-selling XBLA game Trials Evolution.

In addition, all of the single player tracks and skill games from Trials HD will be found in Trials Evolution – effectively doubling the content offering with two complete games, neither of which have ever before been available on PC.

Optimized and Enhanced for PC

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will be optimized and enhanced for the PC gaming platform. All of the features of its forerunners – from the in-game editor, player sharing of tracks, and global Leader Boards, will be re-integrated into the game in a way that fits the new platform.

Features

Global Leader Boards
Local and Online 4-Player Multiplayer
Robust and Powerful Track Editor
Indoor and Outdoor environments
Bike and Rider customizations
More than 120 Tracks in all!

I cannot wait for this. I felt really let down when they buggered off to the 360 after playing trials 2.
Hopefully all the content released at once I this bundle will make up for it! :D

Well, the "beta" has some performance issues.

Also.. my first experience of uPlay, and it sucks.. HARD.

Wish they had just gone with Steamworks, Steam Workshop would have been awesome for this.

Just played this for an hour, feels just like xbox imo, bit laggy and after races when it tells me if i got gold/silver etc it seems to take a while. Just crashed too on that screen, so that needs sorting.

And yeah, I agree steam workshop would have been great with this. Still nice to have it on pc though.

I was assuming this would include everything, but I just read somewhere that it doesn't have the dlc from HD or Evolution. Can anyone confirm this? If it's right it seems like a cheeky way to get a few more quid out of us at some point down the road.

I didn't think the 360 version was laggy at all

There are rumblings the game is not true high resolution on PC, just upsampled 720p, regardless of resolution selected.

In Trials 2: Second Edition, you felt a connection with the rider and bike, you knew instantly if you did something right or wrong, you could feel it.

I have yet to feel this with with Evolution :(

They should go back and use the Trials 2: SE has a base and not Trials HD.

yeah I agree, but honestly, I'm enjoying it. It's worth the price, its not like its a full price £30-40 game, its worth it imo. I'm just going to play single player, skill games and play about with the map maker, for that its worth it to me. But yeah, not a great port, hopefully they will fix it up.

The game as a standalone title could be fun if they resolve the performance issues.

Personally however, I expected an enhancement of Trials 2: SE, and this plays nothing like it.

ah, I never played trials 2, just hd/evo on xbox, and it feels just like the xbox version imo, so I'm happy with it.
