Take the Ipad 2

No flash support and the New Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet is

faster smaller lighter and Higher res screen and cheaper

26 secs in is very funny

And before you spout Apps...before apps I want my internet to work properly and android apps cover most.

Whats the obsession with buying slower less functional tech for more money?

It has to be the badge right?

If not please explain as I fail to get moist when comparing my Samsung Galaxy 2 with my mates Iphone 4...My tech is far superior than his on every level.

This thread is not a Apple V Android thread its a genuine question as to why people buy slower heavier less functional tech for more money

My mate with the iphone 4 wants a Galaxy 2 now so at least he has seen the light!

You're comparing the paper specs when the software has as much, if not a bigger say in how fast the hardware is anyway. Plus this is GD do you REALLY expect an impartial and fair discussion on the matter? I give it about 5 minutes before we get a lolApple post. :p

That looks pretty good actually.

I wouldn't buy an iPad 2. I think they're outrageously overpriced.

I do however own an iPhone 4. The fact is it does everything I want it to do and it works really well. There might be superior tech but I don't really care. The fact another phone might have a superior camera or other advanced features doesn't interest me. I guess a lot of gadget gurus would rather have 10 thousand quadzillion megahuuuurtz etc but most of us buy things that are easy to use and stylish - hence why Apple are dominating.

i have a MBP and an iphone 4 but i agree that the ipad is ludicrous. There is a market for tablets, but they spent so much time and money making the ipod touch/phone as small as possible, and then they bloated it up and used the same OS! crazy.

Im glad there's more competition coming apple's way, as tbh their past few updates have been relatively lacklustre. slightly faster/slightly smaller/slightly thinner every 6 months is insulting to customers who shelled out £400 for a device that isnt even a year old yet.

I'm pretty far from a stylistic consumerism global type of company fan but Apple have it spot on, and let's all be happy that the guy designing Apple gear is BRITISH.

For those gagging for an iPad in 2010, you could have gotten yourself a Paceblade in 2003.

It makes you laugh, back in 2003 I owned: HP iPAQ H2210 Pocket PC.

It really wasn't that far off what the iPhone is today yet most people didn't even now such tech existed back then. In fact some of the bloody games I had on it back then were superior to what you find on the iPhone NOW.

To be honest i'm beyond caring, they can have the extortionately priced mediocre goods if they want them, just as long as they don't shove them in my face at every opportunity.

but by making the changes so minimilistic it doesn't force those that have just shelled out £400 on one to feel the need to upgrade unless you're extremely anal

I'm honestly surprised that there's a new Galaxy tab out as it doesn't seem that long ago since the Galaxy S came out But maybe that's because I haven't taken much notice of it but it certainly feels like there's far more upgraded/new HTC/Samsung/Android phones released than there are apple ones yet those companies don't get the same bashing that Apple get

It makes sense from a business point of view not to go upgrading the screen res on the second iPad as it then gives them their big selling point for the iPad 3, might suck for the consumer but for Apple it makes perfect sense
