Hey guys

In a previous thread I posted about needing a point and shoot for my Avrils gigs coming up

Well thanks to you lot telling me to get the F100fd, I have loads and loads of lovely pictures to remember the gig by

The camera is fantastic, its only downfall is the 5x zoom, compared to 10x of other models, but being at the front row that wasnt too much of a problem

The camera shoots fantastically well at ISO3200 and ISO1600, and has great noise reduction capabilities

I was simply amazed at some of the shots, here are a few, totally untouched in photoshop other than adding a border

So thank you guys

Once again you prove to be the experts

The majority of shots were done at ISO3200, and was expecting the shots to be too noisy, but I think they came out fantastic, no flash either on 90% of them

I couldn't get anywhere as close or zoom as close, with no IS and only ISO 400 this is one of the better ones i got. :(

Not cropped at all mate, they are as they were on the camera except for a border :)

Edit - What am I on about, they've been resized of course lol :o

so the Fuji Finepix F100fd Silver is the Dogs then for the Money?

I had a Sony P92 and it has let me down, it wont last two minutes without shutting down no matter what I try it even got sent back for a new CPU and then I never tried it for ages then nothing…..So I’m never getting a Sony again but need a smart wee camera.

5X zoom is its only downfall.....as my mate has 10X Zoom and you know what its like you want better....

bloody hell!! I can't believe those images are from a point n shoot. You've got a great eye, but then your subject tends to command attention! :D

excellent shots and excellent composition too. good work! Number 2 is a fantastic shot and as good as anything I've seen in kerrang! etc etc

Thanks for all your comments guys

I really appreciate all of them, I thought it might have just been me that thought they came out so well, so I'm delighted to read all of the good feedback

Seriously couldn't recommend this camera enough though

I'd love to be able to make money from my work but I don't think companies will ever take work from someone using a point and shoot in gigs :p

Fuji has always been great with low light shoots (at least their Compacts have anyway)

Great shots, really showed how good a P&S can be when put to the right situation - might temp me to getting a P&S again from Fuji when my finance is nicer at the end of summer:)

On another note, what did you use to make the boarders? Photoshop?

Thanks Dr. Jones :)

I think I will use this camera more than I planned now, rather than carry my DSLR around all the time when its not always easy to, just keep this in my pocket as it really is a great little camera

Yeah just used the 'Stroke' tool in Photoshop :)

you'll find that if you have anything more "professional-looking" than a point n shoot, you won't be allowed into a lot of gigs

who needs a DSLR for good pics - there are some really stunning shots there! I dont think we need to tell you that!
