I've only seen a bit of battlebots. It's too american for me, the commentary and in between bouts stuff is just irritating.

If its american version then nah, i dont like them versions, even tho the new robot wars that just started isnt perfect id much rather watch that than a american version.

Actually you could say Robot Wars is a rip off of Battlebots. The original idea was American and also called Robot Wars. There was a legal dispute between the owners and they split. One side licenced the programme to a UK production company to make the UK Robot Wars and the other side changed the name to Battlebots and continued the programme in the US.
