Jet engine in a VW beetle

Crash=dead:(:o

Street legal my arse, no car that pumps out that much fire would be legal at all

Meh,

There was an old style jet engined VW beetle at the Bromley car pageant this year. Now if only I could find the pic I took...

Found it eventually ;)

if thats not fitted exactly in line with the car he'll be going in circles :p
(how is it street legal with a flame that large from the back of the jet?)

It's street legal because it has the origional VW engine in the frount. Which is the only engine that will be used while on the road(!), I know the pictures look nice but do read a little as well :p

Can't imagen that being a good idea at all, what fun! :D

Read the text mofo's it runs on two engines, original up front and the jet at the rear.

"I looked at the picture and came to the conclusion its not road legal" :p

:rolleyes: If you know about a kit cars you'll know that for it to be road worthy/safe you cant have sharp edges or "sticky-out" bits which could potentially hurt a pedestrian or others in an accident.

yes they are, they definitely apply to this country (no idea as to the laws in other countries)..

Off topic: Australians arent allowed to lower their cars such that the clearance is less than 100mm from the underside of the car - If they do it has to be certified as roadworthy :p

biggest waste of money ever, and enen if it wasn't why a beetle. There must be a lot more productive ways of flexing your engeneering and design muscles. when is he ever going to use it? wouldent like to park it either! lol
