I get the same with my hd5970. Dont know of a fix.

It's huge flickering in crysis

Its annoying wish ati would sort this stupid little niggles out because this flickering **** has gone on far too long in their games. they need to stop worrying about getting games a few extra fps and fix the bugs that need sorting urgently.

I get flickering in Dirt2 also, it's at certain distances and angles, things start to flicker. It's not really textures, but where surfaces make contact.

Some games don't do it, but others do.

It's really annoying because I did not have these problems with my 4870/4890, but since getting the 5870 it seems image quality has taken a drop.

Disable catalyst AI ;)

If you do that , crossfire dosnt work, this really needs a fix as it does my head in, its graphicaly bugged to hell in BFBC2 for me, i get brown shrubs popping up in the roads, loads of blinding flash if in any vehicle firing its main weapon

Put the FOV to standard and keep it there. BC2 has a bug where when you change the FOV the game thinks you can't see certain objects so they "pop".

If its not this your describing, disable cat AI and leave all your other CCC options to application specified.

The vehicle bug is the dreaded "glare bug" and happens in all soviet vehicles but isnt too bad in the american ones lol. Its truly awful on the desert levels though :S

I've found that when the maps loaded and the flickering starts, if I go into options and turn vsync on, off, it gets rid of the flickering. It only lasts for that round but at least it's something.

Have you tried changing the resolution from your native to something else and back to the native res again BEFORE going into a match? It solves the vsync issue so it might be worth a shot.

I didn't think that had been the case for quite some time? It certainly doesn't disable crossfire for me and resolves the water flicker

I haven't had any of the other gfx "bugs"

from the beta forums:

Some ATI cards causing flashing textures and other glitches with water, scopes, etc. (possible fix - Go into your catalyst control center and under 3D -> Catalyst A.I. check the "Disable Catalyst A.I." box and the flickering goes away

also what dx version are you running under?

Also don't know if this will help anyone

I get it with my xfired 5870's
simple solution I use
options, change aa to another higher or lower option
go back into game
then go back to options and change it back to what it was
play game

works everytime for me

hope this helps

Ive got asus 4870x2 and the flickering is doing my head in but I do get round it also using by just changing a graphic setting and going back in the play.
