Just picked up a cheap Celeron 336 D 2.8, and just wondering if anyone knows the limts of these chips cause i've got it running at 3.2 (HUGE improvement in real world applications)

Only needs to last till price drops but thinking of having fun with it over the next few weeks.

yeah i've had a look, any particular limit on the cpu voltage, mothboard read it as 1.35 stock so guessing 1.45 should still be fine like with the core 2 duo's a s long as oyu watch the temps.

Don't know if a 356 counts...?

1.8v and just under -100C, benchmark stability at about 6.4GHz

On air and 1.65v you're looking in the 5GHz region, good "fun" chips as they cost very little. Some boards go funny with strap changes at 200MHz which you might have to work around...

ok time to wack the voltage up then. Although i'm surprised how well its handling what i'm doing, it only starts slowing when i'm playing on the internet with 64player maps.

apparently Cedar Mill lcocks better and cooler than prescott ones so might not reach that high still give it a good go.
