Hello

Got a problem and need to know some thing!

Ordered a parcel on Wednesday for next day delivery, ordered at 6pm so expected it to be delivered today which is wasn’t! That’s £8 of my money!

Phoned up city link in York (nearest to me) and they said their had been a mix up with my parcel and its no where near them and would be delivered on Monday.

Why cant they deleiver it tomorrow as i see they do saturday delivery?
Can i have a refund of my money and who should i ask for it?

Very anoyyed atm, wasted a whole day waiting for nothing. 9am till 5pm. :(

Thanks in advance

Most places will have a cut off of 3-4pm as couriers will pick up 5-6pm ish. Don't forget the time it takes to pack the order as well. I'd never expect to order at 6pm and get it next day.

Thats why i said...

I orderd on wednesday at 6pm.

It should have come today, friday?

Also, it was citylinks fault for getting it lost/mixed up :)

Sorry I miss read your post. Yeah it should have come today. Sounds like a mix up in the depots :/

um if he ordered wed then he expected it today (fri) which is reasonable

Probably too late but if you contact the retailer or phone up city link they could del sat

I had this once, phoned cl and said take it back to the retailer, somehow they magically were able to deliver exactly when i wanted.

just got back of the phone to them about a saturday delivery,

He basicly said it wasnt his delivery branch who made the mistake and so he cant do any thing about it and that its not his problem! he would not be able to do a saturday delivery because its extra (£18 option)!

To which i replied,

When i order for next day delivery you should try to deliver next day, but i do understand that problems occure. Because you could not deliver it to me the next day because of a citylink mistake you should try to get it to me as soon as possible.

He just blagged me off and wouldnt say any thing to me in the end.

Feel robbed

Email the company you ordered it from. Tell em its not arrived on time and you want the carriage FOC.

Don't get me started on Citylink

Three times they have failed to deliver my order on time from this very shop.
The last time I told OcUK and they kindly refunded my delivery costs (I hope they claimed them back from those useless "£$%^&*s).

As suggested, try speaking to the retailer and see if they can exert some pressure or refund your delivery charges. I'm sure they'll be annoyed to hear that that useless shower have let down one of their customers and will be happy to help.

Stan :)
