Exhaust pipe cleaner.

Hi,

Tried googling but nothing useful coming up. Exhaust pipes have stubborn soot on it. What do you guys use to remove it and bring the shine back?

normal polish works, just rub extra hard.

I use Autoglym metal polish with some wire wool, brings them up quite nicely

Meguiar's NXT All Metal Polysh with a cloth. Don't even need to rub hard, comes up a treat (I'm sure there is some double meaning in there

I use the Autoglym one in the toothpaste tube, works well and gets most of the deep engrained 'stuff' off.

It's very fine stuff, I usually buff it off after with a fine cloth

I've got this as well and it does a good job.

However, the deliberate mis-spelling of polish makes me want beat my head against a wall until it's mush.

Stupid, chav-baiting, money rinsing *****.

Just standard metal polish on mine and it comes up a treat, unfortunately it does take quite a while to work when its really really bad!

I've found little difference between brasso and autosol - but whatever you use may involve an afternoon of hard labour resulting in sore arms.
