Hi all,

Anyone had trouble updaing Comodo Firewall, i checked for updates the other night, said there was some, and would i like to install em, so i said yes, but then it goes major slow, must be slower than dial up speeds, after about 40 minutes it had only done about 73%, then not long after it came up with a 108 error (summit to do with not being able to update/find updates or something can't remember), but everytime i try to upade it it just will not do it, goes major slow while downloading the updates, then just stops with errors after a while, ive been on about 2x days now trying to update it but it wont have it, im even getting the flashing yellow down arrow now on startup saying theres some updates do you want to install them, but it just does the same with that, downloads at a crawl then just stops when its done so much with an error, so everytime i startup now i have to keep saying no i don't want the updates as i can't get them, can this thing be updated or what!!!!. :(

Thanks. :)

I got the message about updating last night, but didn't bother as I was busy. If everyone is trying to update it at once then I'm not surprised it's slow. I'd imagine it will work in a few days or so though.

If you go in Security > Advanced > and click the "Configure" button under miscellaneous, at the bottom is options to disable automatically checking for updates. Uncheck them and it should stop asking you.

If you run that does it just update then, or will you have to bung in the serial code, set it all up again as it will do a reinstall.

Thanks. :)

Thanks, hmm spose it might be worth doing as theres not that many pop ups for programs really, and i only need to allow Utorrent through it again. :)

Thanks for that, ill remember that for next time as its updated fine now, still went on a go slow, and took about an hr though but it udated anyway thats the main thing, has an animation of a red and green arrow going up and down in the system tray now, looks cool. :D

Mine automatically updated itself and have had no problems , but the download time was appalling at just over an hour for a 32mb file and I'm on a 2.2m connection .Still I think this Comodo is very good and seems quicker than my old zonealarm was.

Is there anyway you can download update patches not through the software.
If at some point i need to reinstall it, am i going to have to re-download all the updates again?

You can download the latest version from here, you would have to set it all up again though, unless you do as what is suggested above, back up the registry keys with your settings then add them back in. :)
