Hi there,

Is anyone out there using a Compro Remote (that gets supplied with the T200 and T300) and is sucessfully using it with HIP and Compro2HIP?

http://byremote.com.au/HIP/

I am trying to get these to work so i can use my compro remote with Windows Media Center but to no avail :( . If someone on here has got it working, please help! :D

Many Many Many Thanks!

Wouldn't getting hold of a Microsoft MCE remote be a better bet mate? I've got the T200 but got the MCE remote straight away... much easier that way. They're not expensive and work really well!

However, if you're in the mood for tinkering to get it to work, I've got nothing for ya! Maybe someone else will know...

Ah, but with the MSE remote can you start the pc from cold like you can with the compro remote?

Fair point mate... my answer is no. I've got my wireless keyboard hotkey for that! ;)

I have a sneaky feeling that i need a copy of old drivers and old DTV so that i can get it working. :( If anyone knows where i can get ComproRemoteDTV version 2.0.2.2 from might be a help.

Just for other people interest who may have this card, i did get this all working but when i went to Vista x64 HIP nolonger worked, so i have written a small app that will take remote commands and convert them into keyboard commands so the remote can work with MCE or other media center software.

I am just putting some finishing touches to it and then i will upload to a site.

I hope this helps other people out there.

Oh it should work for XP as well. :D
