Flash still only works in ie 32bit mode too.
Runs far faster than my xp install (bar the network copying issue, Im running xp and vista business 64bit on multiboot)

I have tried to throw Vista64 onto my Main PC 3 times now... Last time was 3 days ago and only this morning I went back to XP64.

This time, Windows Mail run fine, but if I tried to click on a link, Firefox would fail to start, then, when I set IE to the main browser, that would too... I tried Safari too and that worked, and then failed like the others???

Bloody stuff that.

Other issues I get with Vista64 on this machine are Clicks from one of the HDs ( The Raptor I think - cant be arsed verifying ) Takes ages opening up a program ( Would have sped up a fair bit had I left the setup as-is but with no internet access, Im not bothering - last time it did, but it was still not enough )

I have Vista32Prem on an AMD upstairs and that runs it just fine, or at least the issues I did have have all been easy to sort but this bugger here is just bringing up random errors taht are different each time I try it out, and I feel that XP64 runs so bloody smooth on it, that going to Vista I am just wasting my time bothering at all with it cos Vista does nothing that XP cannot do... For me anyway

I have vista 64 on two machines, my old dell 9200 machine, and my new custom built pc.

On the dell, its smooth as silk, absolutely no problems. I have the odd problem on my home built one, ive not had any crashes, but super pi has the tendency to stop working now and again, and sisoft sandra freezes when i run it (not just overclocked, but at stock settings also).

No actual programs have given me any problems though, and since moving i have had no reason to go back to xp.

I have heard a lot of scaremongering regarding both xp64 and vista64. Is it true that drivers will be problem? As I run periperals from microsoft and logitech and have newish hp printers - id hope this not to be an issue?

Interesting that you say the Dell is fine MetalFace as I have heard that Dell have stopped selling x64 windows and stopped providing support for certain pc's.
