As the title. There seems to be an increasing number of people sporting these new brightly coloured rubber clogs and I can't for the life of me work out why the hell anyone would want to wear them in public.

They're mostly worn by 30-40 something women who would appear to have let themselves go. However, I have seen a few men wearing them and have felt the urge to approach them, pull their stupid slipper clogs off and batter them around the face with the heel of the bright green monstrosity.

What is the attraction?

I have seen ones with holes in them, is that what you mean, if so i look at them too and just think "why?"

I dunno but I felt like burning the stand that I saw while I was working in Bath. They make me shiver with embarrasment :(

Yeh those holey shoes? WTF they about?

infact the lady has just informed me when she was working in Southport flower show last year they were being sold there.
They were originally made as gardening shoes?

WEIRD!

Lol, yeah, I was a bit surprised to see them out and about on the streets, they're the kind of shoes we wear in the operating theatre :D

They've been around a while, people wear them because they are comfortable and allow your feet to breath. Nurses (who are on their feet at all times on their shift) loves them.
