Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store).

The AMD/NVIDIA video drivers can normally be uninstalled from the Windows Control panel, this driver uninstaller program was designed to be used in cases where the standard driver uninstall fails, or anyway when you need to thoroughly delete NVIDIA and ATI video card drivers.

The current effect after you use this driver removal tool will be similar as if its the first time you install a new driver just like a fresh, clean install of Windows. As with any tool of this kind, we recommend creating a new system restore point before using it, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems.

This tool act similar to what Driver sweeper do + the extra mentioned above.

If you have problem installing older driver or newer one, give it a try as there are some reports that it fix thoses problems.

RECOMMENDED USAGE :

- I personally recommend that you disconnect the internet while doing this because sometimes after the uninstall, windows update may be re-installing a driver on its own without authorization...

-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safe-mode is always the best.

- I would like to gather feedback from you guys. Tell me if it was success or not.
make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).

-For people with driver problem, if this tool gave you any success into fixing some issues your are currently experiencing, please share your result.

Keep note that NVIDIA/AMD did not have anything to do with this, I do not work at or for NVIDIA/AMD and they should not be held responsible for anything that may go wrong with this application.

What it is is basically a gfx card driver uninstaller a bit like the old driversweeper but new and supports all the new stuff. I had a go with it and it did a nice job of clearing my 570 info off my comp when driver sweeper or nvidia uninstaller didnt when picking the option of remove all stuff ready for a new card.

Anyhow just thought id mention it.

What's wrong with just updating the new driver on top of the old one? (assuming you are not switching between nvidia/amd)

never had any problems with that.

When I install new drivers I check the box marked "clean install" :P

Nothing, but several years ago it used to cause issues and many people are stuck in their ways.

It still causes issues with AMD, people were trying it in the AMD drivers thread and having to sweep and reinstall. Not saying that happens for everyone though.

Seems to be very popular!

Release 8.0

-Added driverfiles.cfg : Is meant for the removal of driver files from
Windows\System32\drivers \System32 \SysWOW64 and the registry location of
(pnplockdownfiles)
So this is not hard-coded anymore.

-Do not disable hardware before remove. (not needed anymore and cause problem
for old o.s anyway)

-Windows vista does not required to have the internet disconnected anymore.

Release 8.1
-Added more .CFG files

-Clean AMD environement Path

-Some little bug fixes

-now using my server to download and check for auto update.

Can't recommend this enough. I did something I never do and used driver-sweeper a while ago and it meant I couldnt get rid of physx and a few leftovers no matter what I did. One go of this and all sorted.
