Hi,
What ingenious ways have you guys got of draining your loop. I'm trying to find the easiest method when I next ahve to drain mine!

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

Thats exactly the reason I will be draining it

I'm going to add in a 'Y' fitting with a ball valve so I can easily drain it next time!

Disagree with Samsung.

Depending on which loop your draining, best way is to take off the CPU block and extend it so it's sitting out of the case, then hold a pot or something under the block and remove the tube :)

There's a radiator on the back of my pc, so I sit the pc on the roof, loosen the T-line top, unscrew the radiator screw and drain into a big funnel in a 2l bottle. Gets rid of most of the water but it still needs a bit of tilting around to get the last bits.

Depending on what type of res you have and how it is mounted on alternative method is to feed a small bore tube in through the fill port and siphon the fluid out, rotating the case appropriately.

I ahve a bayres and I can acess the fill port on that easily by removing the top of the U2-ufo but how do you siphon the fluid out?

I do the pipe sucking technique... I put it on the table, get a length of pipe into the Res suck untill its coming out... like you would with a petrol tank... works for me.
