Anyone else struggle with this? I've been attempting to text flirt tonight with this girl I met recently.

This is how the conversation went.

Me:
Hey, you feeling better. Out tonight?

Girl:
Yeah, at a house party, haven't eaten since sunday so getting drunk pretty quick. What about you? Xx

Me:
Working again, starting to do my head in, you still up for tomorrow?

Girl:
Yeah, whats the plan for tomorrow Xx

Me:
No idea, I'm useless at planning, I'll give you a text tomorrow with the plans, I promise, have a good rest of night.

Girl:
Cool Batman, have a good night Xx

Me:
Thanks Robin

Girl:
Can't I be catwomen Xx

Me:
Deal, thats not half as gay.

Girl:
And I think I look sexier in black. Xx

Me:
I bet you do, will you wear black for me tomorrow?

Girl:
Yeah sure. Xx

Me:
Sweet, I'll look forward to that then, you still at the party?

Girl:
Yeah, a bit ******, you still working? Xx

Me:
Yeah, till 7, so bored, keep drinking for me to please.

Girl:

Me:
Good girl, thats what I like to hear, I'll think of you tomorrow morning though.

Girl:
Why? Xx

Me:
You'll be hungover, also, who wouldn't want to think of a pretty girl like you?

Girl:
Don't get hangovers, aren't I the lucky little one. Xx

Me:
Now I'm jealous

Girl:

Now, every response of mine took ages to write and as you can see ended up being pretty bad, the pretty girl thing? Makes me shudder. After my Robin comment I thought I may have lost her but it turned out pretty well kinda, I'm just sure I could have sealed the deal a bit more.

So did I do all right? Am I destined to be the most awkward guy ever? What would you people have done differently?
 
You think I could have typed all that out whilst drunk? I'm working, all be it from bed but I'm still working.

Anyway, I'm an open guy, also this is a mainly a computer forum, I bet some members haven't even seen a girl, this could help them out....:)

It reads like you're trying too hard to be honest but meh, it doesn't seem to be a bad exchange. What were you expecting?

I think it's hard to advise as everybody has a "style" with the women. I find the best approach which works for me is to be a tease/cheeky... but obviously you need to be natural and there is a time and place, most girls wouldn't appreciate you being full on all the time. :)

Back in my day you had to speak to people face to face and flirting was easier. Then some idiot called Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and everything went to pot...
