Picked up my ST3 (2007) today and it's awsome! Just my sort of car.
35k on the clock, good price, excellent condition. Bit thirsty compared to the Cupra I had, but worth it. That engine sounds fantastic!
Anyway, just after a bit of advice regarding the position of the needles on the gauges. They are probably all normal and some vids on youtube seem to suggest the same, but I would like some ST owners to confirm.
Water Temp: Needle sits just under 50% of total (just over middle of grey section)
Oil Temp: Needle sits at exactly 50% of grey section.
Oil Pressure At idle, sits about 25% into the grey section, never drops into red. Increases with engine speed as expected. Wondered if this should be higher at idle?
Also, all dash lights work etc, but this evening I noticed the boost gauge is just ever so slightly dimmer (not by much) than the Oil Pressure and Oil Temp. This could be that it's just a bigger gauge with the same lighting config as the smaller gauges, hence the same light having to light a bigger gauge.
Any advice welcome!
Thanks!
