Gmail on K750i

Morning all,

Has anyone managed to get their Gmail emails on their K750i or W800i cellphones? I got the settings, but not too sure if they're right. Anyone know if it's possible?

Ya, but I'd rather do it via the email client on the K750i.

On the settings I am using. I get "Server not found"

My server I put in was pop.googlemail.com

I also have the same problem i have a w800i on o2 pay as you talk and i just get server not found

Well my K750i has W800i software in it. So here are the settings I used to get it working.

Connect Using: Internet (Use your service provider) E.g, O2-Uk GPRS.
Protocol: POP3
Incoming Server: pop.googlemail.com
Incoming Port: 995
Encryption: TLS/SSL
Mailbox: [email protected]
Password: Your password
Outgoing server: smtp.googlemail.com
Outgoing Port: 465
Email Address: [email protected]
Download: headers & Text
From Name: What ever you like
Signature: Your choice
Copy Outgoing: Off

Those are the exact settings on my cellphone. So should work for you.
Also, you might get a error regarding the unkown TSL/SSL, you need to download a thing for that. But only if you get that error.

If you get that error, email me. [email protected] and I'll provide them for you. As I don't have enough time during the day to get to this site so excusse me for the delayed reply.

Here you go.

This is the certificate you will need if you get an TSL/SSL error.

You need to send it to your phone. You can't load it on the momery card as it won't work corectly that way. Well, atleast it didn't work that way for me. But might for you. I sent it via bluetooth and it worked just fine.

using those exact settings on my w800i and it just displays finding server and thats it I heard o2 have a block on pay as you go customers accessing pop3 mail

Would suggest that you phone O2-Uk and ask them if that's true. And if it's at all possible for you to access the POP3 service on their network. Otherwise you're going to move to a better network. That should get them moving. Worth a try anyway, even if the threat is an empty one.
