Sorry if this is repeat post, I couldn't find anything on the previous 5pages regarding this.

HDMI cables, the price range varies so much! I'll be connecting a PS3 to a 32" 720p TV. Do I need to buy a £30 or dare I say £70 cable? What's wrong with a £8.99 one of the net?

Will there be a noticable difference?

There is no difference at all, it's a digital connection so you either get a perfect picture or have problems with it.

Only true to an extent. Over long distances sub-par cables are subject to greater interference and can affect the picture. Generally speaking any HDMI/Digital cable under 2m should be of the same quality as a £30-40. I paid 99p for my last cable and it easily matches the gold plated HDMI one i got for £9.99

Exactly, problems with it. Not the same sort of thing with analogue where the picture doesn't look as good, but where there is something obviously wrong with it. In which case rather than spend £70 I'd use cat cable.

If there was even a slight problem you would instantly know. So you may as well get a cheapo cable. If it looks ok it will be perfect.

seconded

unless you want to run a 10m long HDMI cable, the £2 jobby from ebay or whatever is just as good.
