Just collect my new V7 22" Widescreen monitor. Not bad for the money I paid as it comes with VGA and DVI. Will post some pictures and thoughts on it later tonight when I get home.

do you mind me asking how much it cost you?

I can't tell you the actual price but it was significantly less than the Belinea or any 22" monitor thru retail.

Yes it is the L22WD, which includes, DVi, VGA and speakers.

1st impressions after getting it out the box is "Blood hell its huge!!" at least compared to my old 19" widescreen. It comes with power, sounds and DVI cables in the box, but I just used my existing cable as it was already plugged in.

This is the 1st monitor I've had in a long time where the brightness is not set to 100% out the box which makes a change. I do think I;m going to have to play with the brightness and contrast a bit to get things setup as I like, but even at defaults the image is pretty good.

I'll post some thoughts on the games either later or tomorrow when I also have charged batterys for my camera so will post a picture or 2.

Sorry for the delay, heres a picture. I am very very pleased with the monitor, the picture is superb and there is no ghosting etc that I can see.

Cool :)

Looks very nice, I'm thinking of maybe getting one.
Seems a good price considering it has DVI aswell as VGA (which some of the 22" don't).

I don't know if OCuk will buy it from us. I have tried Half Life 2 briefly but mainly its GTR2 and rFactor and Race all of which look amazing and show no ghosting or image quality problems at all.

As its a V7 am I too assume you work for Ingram?

We are always interested in buying new products but are extremely aggressive buyers, afterall we have margin to protect and when it means we want to compete against others yet maintain our margin we need to buy better than anybody else does. :)

Yeah I work for Ingram :) not on the UK side thou I'm a Technical Architect for Europe so not involved with the buying/selling at all. I just put the systems together that let other folks do all that stuff ;)

As for the monitor, well I got it at a good price ;) and to be honest it is a superb bit of kit (and no I'm not saying that because of who I work for...) its my hard earned cash that paid for it.

does this use a different panel than the rest? I used to buy v7 and they were not great picture quality but that was over year ago now. Whats the spec like?

Hi there

This is now available from OcUK. :)

It's another 22" with a TN panel isn't it?

Are all the 22" screens that OcUK stock, TN panels?

Do you have any plans to get any others in as larger alternatives to the Viewsonic VX2025wm 20" / Belinea 102035W 20.1" / Dell Ultrasharp 2007WFP 20" / NEC MultiSync® LCD20WGX2 20.1"??

Hi there

Volume stock is due tomorrow.

From looking at this the Belinea is still the better panel and gives a better image even though its only analogue.

This V7 panel is both analogue and DVI but in all honesty from one we've got our hands on today the image is no better than the Belinea, in fact I preferre the Belinea. Maybe its the 1000:1 contrast ratio advantage of the Belinea panel?
