Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is a third-person shooter that delivers an intense team-based multiplayer experience. I have no idea if this is any good, but for £8.99 and immediate Beta access, im in. I can allways cancel if no good.

Patch 1.5b + Dedicated server open beta notes:

• New dedicated servers support added. They contain many new features, including:

• Map-cycles can now be defined

• Games can be password protected

• Specify max ping allowed for entering a server

• Auto kick idle players added

• Friendly fire can be turned on/off

• Administrators specified with password or steam-id

• In-game console available for administrators. (kick/ban/change map cycle/list users)

• Players can be banned or kicked from server using steam-id

• Server stores log of actions happening in game, including chat messages

• New leader-boards have been added. (kill streak, most exp per match, matches won, matches lost)

• Message of the day shown when entering server

• Ping can now be seen in score-board

• Server name can now be seen in score board

• Server version can be seen in main menu

• Server browser shows some extra info on dedicated servers

• All servers are displayed in the server browser (full and empty)

• The dedicated exe runs without Lead and Gold client installed. No steam account needed to run.

• The dedicated exe runs on machines without sound card or advanced graphics card.

Having fun with this soo far.

I wished it was First person but you cant have everything.

I just view 3rd person as cheating for some reason :(

3rd Person is still good fun.

Yeah, not a fan of third person either (insert rant about how consoles are holding back gaming here) but you DO get used to it. Having great fun on this too :D Definitely worth the 8 quid.
 
More TF2 in my opinion from my experiences soo far.

To be fair, the developer have a good pedigree, not in this genre, granted but seem to release well polished games.
 
Had about half an hour but couldn't stomach any more, 3rd person I can deal with,(although it's stupid you cant sap camera side) but the aiming and general shooting is dire, considering its obviously meant to be fast paced, all of the single shot pistols feel really crap, don't do anything like enough damage either. Cant tell much difference between the classes, certainly nothing like as good as battlefield, TF2 e.t.c. Graphics also poor, no AA and you can't even change the graphics settings, no text chat in game (I think) no dedicated servers, doubt think there will be mod tools. For 9.99, BF1943 would be a much better proposition if it EVER comes out.
 
Bought this today due to boredom and what a little gem it is. Graphics sure do look like TF2 but it plays totally different. The classes are brilliant and none seem OP, although I'm lovin the Gunslinger with his alt-fire technique ..

I was reading that dedicated servers are imminent and the game suffered terrible lag but luckily the few servers I've joined have been fine. In all the graphics are good, action is frantic at times and above all it plays like a western shooter.
 
This game SERIOUSLY needs more players, it is a cracker.

Dedi server files are out next week...

Hoping this increases the player count.

Sniper isnt out yet so not played the full game. Think I am the only one who enjoyed the demo though - lol

Seriously though, Lead and Gold deserves MUCH more exposure than it is receiving.

At £10 - It is great value considering there are many inferior games for much more.

Original game modes, nice gameplay touches, nice reward system for teamwork.
 
Just purchased, looks fun :)

EDIT:

I bought the game and show this on my paypal account but it's not showed up in steam, any one else had issues?
