Just had a quick read of this and saw its multiplayer...

Having being dissapointed with what ive seen star trek wise so far i hope this is the quality it deserves...

All for an enterprise sim :D

I always wait for a few reviews with star trek games, quality tends to vary wildly. Elite Force was the last half decent one, and even then the ending made me vomit :D
 
ill wait for some reviews, some have been great games, others just terrible

though with the company developing it, it should atleast be a reasonable game lol
 
it looks half decent, the graphics seem ok and they have the origonal voices again! the last Star trek game i bought was armarda 2, which in all honesty wasnt that bad.
 
i didnt like armada 2 at all. it had no single player storey at all in comparison to the story that graced armada. Ill be buying legacy in the hope it fills that multiplayer void thats been left since bridge commander and starfleet command died out
 
meh console game... i would have thought startrek was supposed to be deep, from what ive been of this u dont actually do more than fly around and press the fire button

although the defiant looks cool :D

would have thought Star Trek Universe was RIPE for a MMOFPS or MMORPG

things like...

SpaceWar
buying own spaceship going freelance TRADE
or enlisting with starfleet going on missions against borg etc with other human players FIGHT (progress through the ranks etc upgrade ship...combine technology from different races borg, romulan, klingon, dominion, etc)

Groundwar
beam down to planet surface and stop borg assimilation of planets.
FPS

or even if your assimilated by the borg then you become a drone and work your way up to having your own borg cube (or borg scoutship)

but yeah... would be nice
 
Yup, startrek online should be very cool if they go a different way then other MMOs, not just everquest or whatever with a startrek skin on.
 
have you played darkest day mod? best mod for birth IMO

this is possibly the only game i am quite perpared to play on lan even though its almost guaranteed to crash every 20 turns, still dont care, its quality :D played a 4 player game at i26 last year

I think to call it just a console game is a little harsh, by the same rationale Oblivion is just a console game too.


As for the game itself I will probably wait for the reviews but I have to say it looks promising.

And BOTF is indeed the best Star Trek game ;)
