GDC07: Sony Unveils LittleBigPlanet

Looks really quite nice that, I always think graphics look the best when they arent trying to be ultra realistic. Music is catchy too, Ive got it playing in the background :p

Lol that looks well cool, a few good things coming out from sony at the moment even though they are just making high graphical miis :p
Just give us some damn games now sony.

I have a soft spot for cartoony style games.. I like it..

Like the 360, its a shame these type of games are few and far between..

Sorry, I forgot to post the bit about the game being able to be user designed.

"Following last night's Home presentation, Phil Harrison invited a few developers to the stage, Media Molecule's Mark Healey and Alex Evans. Harrison reminded the audience of their previous work on a fighting game by the name of Rag Doll Kung Fu, created while at Lionhead Studios and distributed over the Steam platform.

What they showed was a game that drove home the point of Sony's Game 3.0 theory, one where enabling users to aid in the creation of game content will help drive the console gaming industry.

The game they showed was LittleBigPlanet, a user designed playground, a make-your-own-platformer tool, an actual game with deep physics that looks beautiful and shockingly fun to play. If you really need comparisons, the game is like Line Rider meets Garry's Mod meets Super Mario Bros. meets an orgasm."

Very impressive. It just feels like you are watching some sort of abstract cartoon, not watching a video game. Zany gameplay but it looks like it could be great fun multiplayer. The kind of game I would have expected to see on a Wii really (not in a bad way). But graphically and in terms of physics it looks amazing, wouldn't look as good on Wii.

Have to agree with what rp2000 has said. Looks lovely and the type of game I could melt into the sofa and play.
Very Nintendo looking indeed. :D

It looks interesting but i think it is the sort of game that i would get hugely bored of after about 2 hours .

I guess if there are vast amounts of objects and cool things you can do depending on the placement of the objects, it might last a little longer. i dunno, just looks a little repetitive.

The graphics are nice though. Simple, but sharp and effective.

If it is from the makers of RagDoll Kung Fu then it has promise at least. That is an interesting game.

This is the first thing of the PS3 that has actually grabbed my interest, mainly because it's the sort of thing I can see Nintendo doing, graphically it looks good, physics look stunning.

But I can't help but think that it will get boring after a few hours :(
