Would like try another 2x converter at some point just for a laugh, like 1680mm isn't enough :o

That is epic!

Sorry but I have to ask, would you mind making me a 1920x1200 wall paper of both the images posted, if possible? :D

That looks amazing. Theres a few craters on these pictures and of all pictures of the moon and they seem to have a kind of "blast radius" around them. Reckon these are collisons with comets etc?

All of the craters on the moon are due to impacts, yes.
The moon won't have formed with the impact craters already in place :D

Cheers guys,

I don't find many other uses for a long lens and lots of teleconverters!

Normally when you buy a super telephoto the moon is the first thing to take a picture of! strange how its taken me 5 months :o

I would love to see a daylight shot at this resolution. I just looked out the window this morning and the moon is still up all bathed in blue.

Cheers!

I'd love to know the size of those craters, and now they compare to things here on earth.

For example, how one of those medium size craters would compare in size to the 250 gravel pit across the road from my house.. Just to help put it in perspective.

I'm not sure about your moon shots to be honest V-Spec.

They seem to be lacking in, erm, atmosphere?...
