Anyone getting the issue where their mic volume is extremely weak/ low ? I have played around with every possible setting and nothing seems to work so i'm guessing its the card/drivers ? :( My Audigy 2 ZS worked fine....

I been hearing a lot of issues about creative x-fi series and they were fixed with some driver update but I can't use creative drivers on my Prelude can I ? I just don't get it I can transmit on the mic on ventrillo but the sound is weak and I can't increase the volume so puzzeled can anyone help ?

dont listen to Will, for a start the Prelude is an X-Fi :P

Easiest solution is to pickup a USB Microphone - These are only around 10 quid.

I'm sure Auzentech are aware of this issue and unlike creative are trying to do something to fix it - it took them under a month to fix the 4GB issue whereas creative had been ignoring it for as long as they could.

You have a great Sound Card there otherwise though.

oh yeah, you must be right. i mean, they fixed the low mic levels on the x-mystique, and the the x-meridian, and then the.....oh wait:(

Exactly. Creative are certainly slow when it comes to fixing driver issues, but Auzentech are hardly angels either!!

Best thing to do would be to email them as unlike some other companies they seem to listen to their customers.

It's not something simple as forgetting to turn on mic boost is it? :P

I know it sounds stupid but i've been looking at the prelude and like many others I don't want to buy a defective card.

as I said I tried everything and no it doesn't help that much (if I turn it on at least you can hear me but if I don't you completely can't) :p

from one of the features of the card on the website:

"Enjoy clearer voice chat: Talk it up and hear the difference X-Fi makes. Every voice comes through loud and clear"

Ummm yeah how am I suppose to talk it up if I can't ? lol
