Is finally out to whoever is interested.

This is the one with the PS1 emulator in it, but guess what, Sony have screwed us as usual.

Atm you need to have a PS3 to download the PS1 games :confused:

PSP Update ver 3.0
This update includes the following changes:

* PLAYSTATION Network titles are now supported under [Game]
* [Remote play] has been added as a feature under [network]
* [Online Instruction Manuals] has been added as a feature [Network]
* Timed recording has been added as a feature under [RSS Channel]
* A visual player has been added as a feature under [Music]
* 3-speed fast forward and fast reverse has been added as a feature under [Music]
* [Camera] has been added as a feature under [Photo]
* [UMD Auto-Start] has been added as a feature in [System Settings] under [Settings].

That sucks, this could have made me want to get my PSP back out.

Will games such asa Tomb Raider be available for it?
 
I'm not sure on the official list by heart, but i remember Resident Evil:Directors cut being on it, a few Tekken games, and a load of rubbish ones, but apparently they are going to release games pretty often.

I'm just waiting for FF7, MGS, Crash Bandicoot and a few others, would love to get my hands on Resi Evil though right now :(

This is Sony forcing people on to homebrew, it's silly.
 
One of Sonys bigwigs recently said the playstation store will be available to PSP owners without the need for a PS3.

I'm guessing they'll use it as a blackmail tool to get people to buy a PS3, then make it availble to the rest of us.

They screwed us europeans over everything else regarding the PSP can't say i'm particularly hopeful.

I am sure I recall reading somewhere recently that you would get direct access to PS1 games from Playstation Store on your PSP from early 2007. Just need to find a link to confirm.

Verison 3.01 is out already! :eek:

I'm trying to download it off www.yourpsp.com and I'm not having any luck! :(

Anyone else managed to get the new update installed on their PSP from the website? (I don't have wireless in the flat).

Edit: I believe it may be down to the fact that I'm using IE7. I don't suppose someone could download the file and host it for me? :) Pretty Please! :p

Don’t see why they can barely get people to buy the psp.


Were any of the original psp games in wide screen, I would hate to think that they would cut off the top and bottom of the picture just to get the game on the psp.
 
yeah, thats what I am using and trying to do but I can't seem to download the new firmware like I used to. If someone could email me the file that would be even better than hosting it. Unless someone knows a way around this IE7 problem with the website?

It downloads directly to your PSP via your PC, so you will need to have your psp connected with your usb data cable and the usb mode turned on. Then try downloading it from the website again and it should work.

I've already tried all that. Are you on IE7? Nowhere on the update details page does it say "download" like it used to. I am aware that there are problems with IE7 and Firefox 2 with the website and they claim they're trying to fix it. I know that it specifically affects downloads. :o

Edit: They've now fixed it. Thanks anyway guys!

This new Music Visulaiser is really cool. It's about time they did something to the Music side of the PSP. It's amazing how much the PSP chugs when you have the visuliser on and then press select (to see what other songs you have - try it!) Looks like the visualiser is really pushing it hard. Anyway, this update is promising I must say. I have been thinking about selling my PSP recently but I think I'll hold onto it now.

Edit, they still need to do something about that inability to listen to music and not being able to change settings or view photographs. It's a real limitation :(

Well i am still hooked on Football Manager on the PSP. Never before since the old CM01/02 has a game got me this hooked. (The similarities are very very close as well)
I take it that when FM07 comes out next Friday, that will be bundled with F/W 3.1 and will need the upgrade to play it ?
