unless this card outperforms a 8800gtx (which it doesnt) then why make it all thier doing if filling up the market with more choices

for people already with one its a reasonable upgrade I guess but I dont think they will be relying on this for very long as their top card(s) somehow

Not if that card is £150 and 4 X1900s can beat a 8800 easily I'd imagine with the right drivers.

Still dx9 and sm3 though :D:p

Not to mention quad sli was a total failure, it will consume huge amounts of power, way too big, way too hot, etc.

LOL when I first saw that pic I thought it was April 1st , it loooks sooo photoshopped hehe.
Seriously tho , why bother with that with R600 just round the corner and especially after the floptastic debacle that was Quadsli.

and the 8800GTX consumes little power, is very compact and generates little heat, somehow i don't think thats the case, only way it would work is if it was priced to compete (in crossfire) with the 8800GTX

if this was priced around what the 1950xtx is (£230) then it wil be a huge hit as its huge power for a reasonabale price but the only problem is it is dx10 and no sm4

8800gtx is not as tall at that thing, nor does it need an open slot next to it to vent heat (and draw air in in the case of that one).
That unit doesn't aim the heat out of you case, so your going to have four x1950 cores venting furious amounts of heat into your case.

There is no way it would work, it is using old tech, so before it starts it has already fallen over.
