Kinda strange that something as simple as squeezing the sides would work. :confused:

Is it me or does it seem that the 3 red lights will sometimes show up for no reason? This vid kinda confirms that it can occur when the console is fine.

If mine does that I just turn it off, stare at it with evil eyes for a few seconds and then turn it back on. Always works!

Seriously, leave it off a few seconds and turn back on.

It must be something to do with metals expanding due to heat ah just found out dry Solder Joints are a cause.

Got to laugh at how he did it though.

i've said it before and will say it again the amount of dust that gets inside caked on the cpu heatsink would make some people cry if they are like me and clean inside their pc's every so often or have dust filters. I truely beleive that this is one major factor in consoles overheating. The GPU heatsink isn't as bad as the fins are spread apart more but the CPU one is just like any normal heatsink. Also all the dust gets clogged up on motherboard near the intakes on the inside of the case just like they would in a pc case.

Mine gave me the red ring of death only a couple of days after release. I threatened it, and it's worked flawlessly ever since.

Seems you either have to get agressive on it's ass, or give it a hug.

hahaha, I bet he had the video lead not in properly (which gives the red light), then just reconnects it when he "hugs" the machine!

The 360 is infact inside a metal cage and squeezing will IMO do little to nothing, although you may be lucky and hear it creak
