Right i've got a nice big half kilo steak for dinner tonight :D
I normally just have it with some chips, but I fancy something different this time.

So what do you lads and lasses recommend?

Some nice pepper sauce and some butter potatoes mmmmmm.

Fried potatoes are always nice too but a decent sauce is a must.

Don't know how my old man makes the sauce but involves mustard and those large peppers, very very tasty.

A decent Knife and a fork ;)

Edit: On a serious note..... I like making home made wedges lately. Using plenty oil, plenty paprika and chilli mixed in and chucked in the oven for over 30 mins. Make sure they not cut too thick, had a few which hadn't cooked properly.

And try some Thai Sweet Chilli sauce :D

Home made potato wedges for the win, wash some potatoes, leave the skins on and chop them into nice sized wedges. Boil them for about 10 mins and then put them into the oven (200C for 40 mins) in a large pan with a table spoon of olive oil a sprinkle of salt and a load of cracked black pepper.

Never put sauce on a steak it is wrong, why would you want your beautiful steak to taste of pepercorn sauce or what ever if your going to hide the flavour of the meat you might as well just kill the neighbours cat.

i have mine with pasta. and melt cheese all over the top of both the pasta and the steak. yum yum yum yum yum!

ohhhhh now i want steak and pasta :(

A nice jacket spud - actually, better make that 2 since you've only got a snack sized steak ;). Whisky and pepper sauce and some seared asparagus with melted butter.

Damn, I've made myself hungry now :(

Button mushrooms done with red wine/port and a blue cheese crust on the steak.

some new potatoes wouldn't go a miss either.

KaHn

Some chunky homemade oven chips and one of those huge mushrooms turned on it's back and filled with Boursin (or your garlic cheese of choice).
