I have seen it done before on another forum and looks really good when your finished.

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone doing or if it is truly possible, I am planning on doing it depending on some of the reply's I get.

From an Electronics point of view
IF the paint was non conductive
IF the paint was non capacitive
AND
IF the paint does not insulate the PCB and cause things to get a lot hotter
Then it should be ok , but as suggested get an olde board first and try it out

Oh and of course the warranty goes out the window

i 2nd that.

wouldnt like to even think about it.

get a cheap broken board and try it.

Yea thats exactly what I'm going to do :P , Properly going to do it with some PCI cards start with the basics and work my way up to the motherboard I got with a computer for £2 :) which is now my cardboard box computer :D:

I have already prayed the PSU and the DVD-RW drives and give a really good effect .

Spraying motherboard PCB?? That just sounds very risky.

Although I have seen PCI cards i.e. soundcards, painted all over, and I myself only went as far as painting PCI slots or the tops of the capacitors on either graphics card or motherboard using a fine brush mind you.

But to go that extra bit further and spray paint the whole motherboard? Ummm yeah, I hope you have money and like to waste it :D.

why dont you try with a second hand really cheap motherboard and then see if it works? personally i would have said no chance and would'nt even try it, specially on a board worth £100 or more. One of the funiest mod's to cases i've seen lately, i think the video is on youtube, is of a guy who made a case for his PC out of Leggo.

lol In my posts its says I'm going to try it on my £2 computer I brought other day so no risk of losing anything :) and I would never dream of doing it to my main computer the motherboard was £200 loool just thought I would try it out see if it works.

Haha thanks for all the support I can tell you the card works fine :) which is an amazement as I used some random old spray paint I had from when I used to Collect Warhammer (Sad I know but I'm a Big Kid)

Spray Used:
Warhammer Chaos Black Spray Paint
