Hi guys.

Check out the review here for our HCP 850w Platinum PSU.

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=352

First up, the standby load tests. Wow... this unit isn't merely average or above average, it's downright amazing in the first two tests. Both came in over 82%. Nice. I like this trend, Antec.

Good, good, we're continuing to do well. Nice 85% number for efficiency here, down at the 10% load level. Voltages look good and healthy.

Uh... folks, I need to go clean my glasses. I can't possibly be seeing what I think I'm seeing. Be right back.

Ok, back. Holy crap... I am seeing things properly. Look at those minor rail voltage readings. Now, we've seen units do 0% regulation numbers before. That's no shock. But look at the two crossload tests. And look back at the low load test. Know how many units I've seen pull 0% across the board like this? None at all, to my recollection. Usually, they still move a little bit when presented with really low loads, or unrealistic crossloads.

This has got to be a first. Folks, we have just found something that can beat Seasonic at their own stability game. Wow. And look at the 12V rails... the worst one is doing only 0.7% regulation, while the best is at 0.3%. Averaged, this thing is only at 0.4%. That is beyond excellent.

Oh, good golly. Every single rail is under 25mV on this puppy on test five, and most of the time this thing's under the 20mV mark on all rails. Even the 12V rails are still only doing some 23mV at worst.

Is this unit the best performing I've ever tested? It might just be.

Scoring
Performance (40% of the final score) - it's not too often that we see a unit come in here and redefine excellence, is it? But, this one's done it. You simply cannot find a unit more stable than this one when it comes to the minor rails. From start to finish, the 3.3V rail didn't budge. It just wouldn't move off that 3.33V number. You need to go to the third decimal place to see that one move, and even then it barely changes. I can't get over it... we may never see this happen again. And things were equally excellent on the ripple control side of things. It even passed Platinum both times. You know what this thing is going to score, don't you? 10.

Functionality (20% of the final score) - this unit has almost everything going for it here, too. Fully modular unit, well sleeved cables, no obvious length issues with said cables... yeah, this unit is fantastic. But, the owner's manual need a little more to the tech specs side of things, so I'm taking a half point off for that. 9.5.

Value (20% of the final score) - this goes for $249.99. OUCH. That is the highest priced 850 watt unit they have. It's more money than a Corsair AX860i, and that unit ain't exactly cheap either. I guess this is the result when you ask Delta for something that can outperform everything else on the market.

Build Quality (20% of the final score) - Delta build quality. Enough said. 10.

Performance - 10
Functionality - 9.5
Value -7
Build Quality - 10

Total Score - 9.3
