I am creating a thread for this request, as last week I emailed the Forum Admins, chased them twice but yet still haven't heard word from them, perhaps their email addresses within the FAQ are out of date or have been blocked by a spam filter. Nonetheless I am posting it here in the hope a site admin comes across this request...

Hi Gilly the all powerful and almighty keeper of OcUK (or 1 of) and benevolent master of its minions.
Having searched the forums for similar threads, it appears that this type of request requires a direct email to a Forum Admin, lest insta-buse™ from the peanut gallery. Woe betide ye that fall foul of this it seems – ‘Thomas. PLease.’ springs to mind – tbf it is ******* hilarious
You may have it in the ‘straight to the point' version or the more popular 'Epic Saga' version, you decide...

Come gather round as to this day we may witness the rebirth of an icon, the rising out of the ashes of a hero. Yes it may just happen and you saw it here first people! Gilly willing!
I would humbly request my username be changed but, as I’m so epicly specced, I'll just hang by the bar and put out the vibe instead *wink*
Please find it in your chasm of darkness or perhaps your bosom of man love, to baptize my ill fortuned OcUK username from a lowly Oxlde *wtf facepalm* to a gratuitously heroic Oxide - of the covalent bond©*.
I have noticed in my many travels across the weary plains of OcUK, no other Oxide in its midst and must-hence-therefore assume the fabled hero does not exist, that is until I step forward, watch out for that log (ooooph) doh! yes this stupid horse. Try to keep up *dust pauldron*
Having been anointed and rebirthed ungraciously back from the wild - I will forever endeavour myself to actively post helpful/insightful comments to my fellow OcUK heroes and the odd sarcastic abuse hurled towards noobs and their numptiness (this skill I would like to thank Tefal and [TW]Fox for. I was once a lowely lvl 1 abandoned in the wilderness until I found the path of sarcastic enlightenment, many a day have I bleeted like a goat and chortled like a nancyboi with laughter at some of their posts and indeed many of the other heroic posters on OcUK. I’m now a lvl 31)
I implore you, good sir, to do the honourable thing and grant the username change to me so that I may cast the chains of crappy username decisiveness into the intawebs nether regions.

* To clarify the blatant ambiguity, just Oxide will be sufficient and wholly more welcomed. Again that’s not:

Oxide in its midst (I can’t work with this)
Oxide will be sufficient (you can’t make this stuff up)
