Was 150 yds from OCUK - now 0.5 mile; they moved
Just went ot Tesco in Longton and parked my car on the end of the parking spots. No parking area. It was pee'ing down with rain + no jacket!

It is a parking ticket issued by "Euro Car Parks". £50 fine, but payment within 14 days reduces it to £30.

Am I correct in the fact that I have legal obligation to pay, as its not issued by the police, or local council?

iirc if it is a private car park there is no legal requirement to pay.

Does this actually work this way though? If they are providing a "service" then surely they could chase it through the courts?

I'm guessing that they can't be bothered with time, effort and cost of taking it to court, so would probably give up chasing you after a while?

FWIW I wouldn't pay :)

Can they prove who was driving at the time? Without this they can't take you through the courts as they have nobody to claim from.
