Panaroma from my house

You stitched these together in photoshop? If so, fine job :)
Looks like you have quite a nice view there, beats looking over a town centre or motorway!
As for technical remarks, the cloudy white sky plays havoc with metering, to get the sky without blowing it out you sacrifice the foreground's brightness somewhat. If you are able, you may want to consider buying an ND grad filter which helps balance an over-bright sky, or the cheaper option of taking two or more sets of pictures (one metered for the bright sky, one to get brighter foreground detail) of the same thing, then combining the results - this is called HDR (High Dynamic Range) and there's quite a lot of it on the forum, have a search :)

Yeah, there is a feature which automatically does them. Really handy and makes it look really good.

At the minute i'm only using a friends Panasonic DMC-FZ7, but I've got a Nikon D40x on its way so hopefully when there is a good day I'll take the pictures again.

I don't quite understand you about the HDR though. Would I just take pictures of the sky, then pictures of the view (without sky)? Slightly lost..

Thanks for replying though :)

Thats quality :)

How do you do these? I'm guessing you need a tripod?

Do you have to turn the camera a certain number of degrees for each shot?

I don't have a camera thats good enough, let alone a tripod, but I've saved a gps location in Buckingham in my satnav that was absolutely beautiful just incase I ever get to borrow one (or if I win the lottery, buy one!) :D Was a huge view with fields as far as the eye could see with purple fields in! I saw it and had to pull over cause I couldn't stop looking in awe.

Excellent photo, would look awesome in the sunshine!
