Hi

Need some great tried and tested drinking games, messier the better! Been thinking ring of fire, but want some better rules then the traditional rules you find, to try and kick it up a notch.

Come on guys, what you got?

we used to play by the dice.

list out 1-12 drinks and dares and take some dice out with you (kiss the barmaid, Get a condom off a girl, that sort of immature thing), drinks included the vodka snort, the upside down pint (headstand) and the usual burning alcohol fiasco.

I remember me and a mate doing this in our local and getting a standing ovation the following evening when we went back in

Get yourself a copy of the shooting stars game and well drink with it, it ended up in great fun for me. Also play a game called turbo, it starts as soon as the night starts anyone caught drinking with their right hand while turbo is shouted, has to down whatever they have.

Drink whilst you think used to be my absoulute favourite when I was really young.

We used to use big bottles of Cider/WKD (something low %) and pass it around. There would be a bottle of spirits with shot glasses layed out in the middle.

Basically we chose a topic which was generally footballers or famous people. You'd all sit in a circle and choose a direction (clockwise, etc) The first person would say a footballers full name. The next person then had to say another footballers name that began with the first letter of the previous persons surname. For example, I'd say - David Ginola, next person - Gianfranco Zola.... etc etc You had 30 seconds to say a name, if you failed then you had a shot and it went onto the next person and so forth. Whilst you were thinking of a name you had to be drinking the chosen drink...

One other rule was that if you said a name that both forename and surname were the same letter, e.g - Steve Stone then it would change direction and start going the opposite way!

Used to be great fun. Very easy for 10 minutes until names start becoming more obscure and you start having more shots and it starts getting harder and harder :p... You can obviously change the subject to suit who you are playing with.

Ahhh man, I want to play it now!

Mushroom Cup! I was told by a South African that this was the South African version of Ring of Fire :p. We used a beer bottle for the glass.

Great fun.

You require all of the international drinking rules to be enforced from the beginning of the evening, no whining allowed only consumption and for the love of god don't spill anything.

Watch the '24' box sets in chronological order and each time Jack says "Damn it" or "I repeat" you knock back a shot!

Gentlemans rules apply.

Arrogance was one of my faves. Pour some booze into the biggest vessel you can find, flip a coin, if you call it wrong you neck it, if you call correctly you pass it to the next person. After a while people get cocky and try to screw over the people next to them, hillarity ensues when they have to consume it themselves...

We used to do it with a dice and 6 shot glasses...

Roll the dice, say it comes up 3, if the 3rd glass is full, down it, and roll again....

you get my drift. If its empty, fill it up with whatever you want, and pass the dice on...

Some great suggestions here! If I dont use them tomorrow, these will all be done at some point next year! Liking the south african ring of fire! International Drinking Rules are a given at all times ;) Dont worry there!

You might just make it about... a third of the way through season 1 before you can't remember anymore :p

No idea what the name is but it's a good laugh with a rowdy group.

Get a pack of cards and lay each ace face up. Lay them horizontally. Get 4 other cards (ideally jokers) and lay them vertically. Something like this:
Code:
          -
          -
          -
          -
- - - -

With the remaining cards, turn one up at a time. If it's a heart, move the ace of hearts up one card. Like this:

Code:
          -
          -
          -
- -
  - - -
It's basically a horse race. You place bets on which suit will reach the end first, using the currency of "fingers". If your card wins you can say "x has to do y fingers". If it doesn't win you have to consume the number of fingers you bet.

It sounds pretty **** just reading it like that but everyone gets so into it, it's brilliant.

International drinking rules rubbish is the most annoying thing ever to get involved in. There's allways someone way too keen to keep it going at around 4 in the morning.

Arrogance is the messiest game as said above.
