It LIVES!

What have you done now? :p

And that girl laughing in the background reminds me of Michelle's mum in american pie the wedding in the flower shop scene!

It's a 1973 Triumph Toledo - a rare two door. Basically I sketched this idea almost 3 years ago (will dig up the scan soon and post up a little more info). After I suggested it, my Dad bought a suitable donor:

Then I hooked him up with the engine, box and ancilleries out of a Stag-engined Sprint

And he's been fettling and fiddling with it ever since.....and now it's almost on the cusp of being driveable.

It originally had a tidy little 1.5 straight four in it.......

Not anymore, now it's ALIVE! :D

Very Nascar.....and that's with a silencer!

It boasts a whole range of upgrades now mind - as well as a Sprint rear axle to put the power down, it has Gaz adjustable platform dampers, lower/stiffer springs, a massive Sprintparts racing vented disc kit with big single piston sliding calipers, full Superflex suspension bushes, sports exhaust system, a custom interior to go in, alloy radiator, alloy header tank, oil cooler, custom wiring.....and more! :)

Will be a real street sweeper. Final colour, is of yet, undecided!

HAHAHA, mind your eyebrows!

Also, have you considered a career in the "engine flooding" area? :p

(when you get flames, just keep cranking!)

It's the overhead cam Triumph Stag V8 - 3 litres, now about 160BHP and 200ft.lb in a car that weighs, at the moment, well under 900kg.

The idea was to create something that could have well been a factory car - hence the choice.

Plus the Stag V8 just sounds so good! :)

Ah, Biggles - yea - it's a Facet jobbie - the problem is the carb's a bit of an unknown and not really set up - the main jets are either wrong, or partially blocked, at the moment. That's what causes it to die if you try to throttle up, unless you really crack it open like in the 2nd vid at which point they start flowing. It only idles on what you pump in via the accelerator jets, which is why it dies a lot. Easily fixed though.

Great idea but Ally heads :(
I'd say whatever plans you have for cooling, Double them.
I don't care though good luck to you, I had a light blue 2 dr back in the day

Cheers Malc :D Yea, the cooling will be well taken care of :) Don't you worry! This thing has to be usable in all conditions as well as reliable!
