Anyone own a Velbon Ultra Luxi F Tripod?

I was initially going to buy a really cheap tripod to play with for my Canon 400D but after a fair amount of research it only makes sense to buy a decent one that should last me a fair while. The Velbon looks tasty, especially at £50 if I collect it form a local store.

I'd like to hear what you guys think

I have a Velbon Ultra Luxi SF, not sure on the differences but I do like mine - good sturdy tripod.

Yep I have the luxi-f. Its nice with the spirit levels, but the twisty legs to lock it in place do my head in!! When its a freezing day they're really hard to undo when putting the tripod back down

Then again its coming into summer so its all good! Its small too so easy to carry around. Apart from the leg problem I love it!

I've got one. Have to agree about the twisty action on the legs but overall its an excellent tripod for the price. Don't regret getting mine one bit

Got to agree with everyone else. Its a good tripod, but the twisting lock for the legs can be a bit annoying after a long days use. On the plus side, it's an excellent buy for the money and is very stable and well made

Just bought one earlier and what a stunning piece of kit for its price. Very pleased with it
