Guys which game/s are you hoping to see steam put on the weekend special offers this weekend???

Am hoping to see a special price offer on the lastest Tomb Raider: Underworld game

As I don't own a console, I can't see myself paying >£30 for any game, ever.

As such, I'd love for DoW II to come down to a feasible, reasonable price.

I've already bought everything else :p

empire total war! ive got in on pre-order for amazon at £23, but would much rather just download from steam. that means i am getting my money's worth from Virgin Media too!

I'd like to see all the steam games come down in price.
I don't see why CoD4 is still expensive, Dawn of War II is £35, its £25 in most shops.

Steam should lower their prices over all, I'd don't mind the weekend sales, but maybe have a rotation, a few cheap indie games, a cheap big name game.

I think the pricing is more down to the publishers than steam. Notice that digital only releases are generally a lot cheaper than digital and boxed ones. Why? Because the companies don't have to shift the boxed units that they spent money on producing.

Games on Steam are starting to have the annoying habit of being priced at £35+, but with a "free" game that I have no interest in at all.

Strange how the games without a freebie seem to be priced anything up to a tenner less.

Some kind of bargain compilation pack would do them some sales I reckon. Say Need For Speed Anthology with all 12 games, priced at the right level it might tempt some people in who've only played a few of the titles. Good way of brining in some cash by bundling a load of ancient/tat games in with a few good ones, people think they are getting a better deal that way.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Call of Duty pack for cheap. £15 each for 1, UO, and 2 is way too much, despite how good they were. And still £30 for 4: MW.

Failing that, I want to see a Splinter Cell pack for cheap, after of course making 2 and 3 available to Europe and not just 1 and 4. :(

You'll notice though that they regularly have sales on their own games. I read recently that the Left 4 Dead half price weekend was a bit of an experiment on their part - they saw a 3000% increase in sales, leading them to the conclusion that games are in general overpriced, and a lot of people just aren't willing to fork out at the current price points.

If they can show other developers that discounting your price will make you a massive profit we might start to see some sense in pricing.

/wanders off to see if he can find where he read that
