New ATI CrossFireX Application Profile 10.8a

A shining example of why multi GPU is bad, waiting this long for 2 top titles to work properly with crossfire is simply unacceptable.

That depends if the performance of those titles is better with muti GPU regardless if its making the most of it or not before hand, I have no complaints.
It is no different than waiting for fixes in games on a single GPU.

Ive run the AVP benchmarks with the 10.8 drivers then with the 10.8 profile and then with the new profile and get exact same score each time.

Maybe the improvements are specific to the rez that hardocp tested at and the 2GB cards?

nice scaling there tbh with these old 10.4b drivers, 1 5870 56fps 2 5870's 103fps

il try 10.8a later with CF on/off to see scaling and any performance increase.. still a bit scared atm of BSOD lol

as youl see from my results above CF scaling is fine with 10.4b, most people with CF setups know that some of the later drivers have issues hence we use 10.4a/b and have no real problems, people tell me 10.5 are fine as well so its just 10.6 and 10.7 where ati ****** up... jurys still out on 10.8 :D

Another thing im running my 5870 in a x8 pci e so i can fit in my xfi sound card so maybe a small hit there but when i swapped it from the x16 i did run some benches and cant say i saw any difference in going to the slower pci e.

I got a new 5970 and its slow with 10.8a drivers and profile in BC2 and SC2 ! The 2 main games i played ! I am so disappointed in it
