RAM Slots Check

I've the Gigabyte Z77 D3H motherboard, have I put the RAM (2x4GB RAM) into the correct slot? I've put each RAM stick in White colour,

Check your mobo manual. They should be in slots 1&3 or 2&4.

Err, it is in 2&4 (technically 2&1 if you look in the manual) judging by the pic.

So I've inserted the RAM into the RAM slots giving me 8GB RAM (Dual Channel)?

Yes you have, to confirm, download CPU-Z and see if it says "dual" under the memory tab.
