Hi all,

i already have a main Pc but i want one that i can use & abuse basically,

as i already have a monitor keyboard & mouse from my main pc , i was going to use a KVM switch to switch between the two.

The reason wanting a 2nd is to get to know in's & outs of Linux , msql , server , networking etc etc. & install multi OS

budget around £300 - £500

came up with a basic setup, leaving a bit in u're budget to add anything in you can think of you might want to try out, put in an matx mobo, could change it to a p35 if you wanted to for £15 or so more, if you're ok with the matx you could drop the basic gfx card.

Thanks for that,

any idea how that gfx card holds up? also would that setup be a starting point for a server? if it need to be?

it will be ok for anything that isnt too graphically intensive, if theres any concerns as to what it might end up being used for maybe move up to a 8600GT.

can't see any reason it wouldnt work as a basic server.
