Hi, Folks i dont know where to start i bought a printer off ebay that was being delivered by parcelforce. I sent the guy off ebay a message saying on friday that i have not received it!!! he said its been signed for by me! he sent me delivery details even with a signature that i never signed for. I asked the neighbours if they had signed for it they said NO, anyway i was at work yesterday had a call from the guy who lives in the house with me bedsits! saying he found my printer round the back in the garden that has obviously been signed for by the driver OMG! what shall i do about this? all the packaging is wet where the printer was left in the snow! what you guys suggest i do ? cheers dan

Is the printer wet? Are you bothered about the packaging? Normally the printer will be in a plastic bag inside the pading which is in turn inside the cardboard.
just the box is wet not sure the orinter is fully functioning yet im away till tommorrow im just really annoyed that the guy who delivered it signed it himself and then i signed for it and never left a note through saying it was round the back so i didnt know.

As someone who has to deal with Parcelfarce on a daily basis, you will need to ring up the local depot with the tracking number (usually begins with a PF or GG) and make a complaint. They'll arrange a driver interview and he will hopefully get into some level of trouble.

Its not the buyers fault so paypal will side with him. However, if the printer doesn't work or is damaged in anyway ask the buyer to claim via parcelforce insurance and he can then refund you

Something similar happened to me before xmas, all sorted in the end due to the excellent company I was dealing with.

Driver signed for something on my behalf (WTF!), left it on my porch apparently but left no note. By the time anyone was home it was long gone.

Actually now I think about it this was parcelfarce as well.

Tell the seller. The seller will contact parcelforce. Then you will have to send a signed statement of the story. If parcelforce don't have your signature then the seller will be refunded and you will get your money.

Don't just try and screw over the seller since he needs your signed statement to get the money.

It's against Parcelforce's contract to leave a parcel "secure/safe" anywhere, their drivers have to ensure that the parcel has been signed for in all cases. Therefore I'd get on the phone to them and/or the seller to and explain the situation, they shouldn't be doing this at all - only couriers like HDN, Citylink and DPD will leave parcels secure.
