i have recenty got a new motherboard,cpu,ram, power supply.....i have put them all together and i got power....the only problem i am having is that nothing is coming up on the monitor it just stays on standy can sum1 please help me i am totally stumped?????

List the parts please.


Is there any signs of life? any lights on the board, any fan movement?
 
asus P8h67 motherboard(no onboard graphics)
8gb ddr ram kingston.
intel i5 cpu
nvidvi gts250 graphics card
900w power supply
 
Have you put the extra 4 or 8 pin ATX power connector in the board?

Have you put one or more PCI-E 6pin into the GTS250 card?

Is it On at the wall?

Try another kettle lead?

Is it ON at the back of the PSU?
 
i got got power to everything all fans are on etc all my leds are on i have used the cable and monitor tht works on my bros computer already.....we have took it all apart and rebuilt it outside the case etc and connectons to card is on we are totally stumped lol
 
Try one stick of RAM in the furthest RAM slot away from the CPU, then move it one RAM slot closer each time.

Then try the other RAM stick and do the same.
 
I have it connected it up I have tried both vga and with a dvi adapter.
I have power to the card, all fans working and connected the power to the cpu aswell
 
please explain? I am sure everything is connected that needs to be, I have life to the mobo, all pins are plugged in. All fans are working.

I tried using only 1 RAM and still nothing on all ports
