Hi guys,

As above, I periodically get flashing lines on my (win 7) aero desktop. I'm using the latest cat drivers :(

My monitor is connected to my card via a dvi cable and the monitor is running at 1920*1080 @120Hz. In game I don't have any issues so I don't think the card is faulty.

Any ideas? I tried connecting an hdmi cable to the card earlier, outputting to my tv and that seemed to make the lines more frequent. It almost seems like interference from something

Yeah my 290 Vapor X had flashing lines on desktop while working perfectly in games.

I read others with similar issues that kept getting worse so I was not taking any chances and sent it back and grabbed a 780 instead.

Hopefully you find a fix or somebody here knows more about it.

Probably completely unrelated, but I get intermittent lines appearing when I overclock my Qnix monitor past 121hz.

Have you tried connecting to just the TV or lowering the refresh rate of the monitor?

Thanks guys! I've changed the refresh rate to 100Hz and that appears to have fixed it. Is this happening because I'm still using a DVI cable perhaps?
