Hi
I currently have a BFG 7800gs AGP o/c to 488/1447,i`ve been looking at the new AGP ati 2600 cards which are 512meg as my system is struggling to play cod4 smoothly.
Would it be worth the upgrade from my 7800gs,as i have not made the jump to pci yet.

Current rig setup
E2180 o/c to 2.9
Asrock 775i65g
2 gig of ddr1 ram
akasa 450w psu
22 inch lg screen

Thanks
Steve

The 2600 cards aren't that great to be honest, they sound ok on paper but the 128-bit memory really gimps them so you're probably better off staying with what you've got for the moment until you can afford a decent mobo and PCI-E gfx card.

EDIT: That said, if are looking to keep your other bits for a while you might consider the x1950 Pro AGP if you can find one for a decent price, there's also a x1950XT AGP I think too but they're usually pretty expensive.

Well sources seem to think that there is an ATI HD3850 AGP coming out very soon and apparently its going to be a good price. Might be worth waiting for that.
