Spain - Finally....
OK, have got all me bits now but i want to wire the H50 up right.
Am i right by connecting pump to CPU_FAN and disable CPU Smartfan (Therefore pump runs at full whack) - and the Rad fan to any sys_fan header?
I was going to get a fan controller unit but i am thinking that i dont really need one?

Am i correct?

Cheers :)

No, the fan is plug into cpu fan, and the pump plug into power fan 3 pin or system fan 3 pin

are you sure ?

My instructions agree with the original poster.

Pump cable goes to CPU FAN on motherboard and Cooler Fan on radiator goes to any motherboard fan header.

This makes more sense because in order of importance you want the MB to tell you the pump has failed first over the fan.

I suggest you check the instructions that came with your own because I'm aboutto contradict again. The instructions that came with mine say "connect fan power connector to CPU-fan header" and "connect pump power connnector to any available 3 pin fan header" I'm not sure if it makes a great deal of difference I have warnings enabled in bios for multiple fans not just CPU and I and the mb auto shuts down if there is a failure.

Well i did have a good going over the instructions - and i came across a stumbling block! - The CPU_FAN header is 4 pin and the SYS_FANs are 3 pin. Now guess what the pump fan is?? - You guessed it - 3 pin!
So Bulldog and PKRyder are right - although the logic of putting the cables the other way round seems better to me?
I have now put the pump in sys_fan1 and rad fan in cpu_fan - and when i boot up the bios tomorrow i will disable smartfan first thing.
Also i seem to have a lot of case fans - Lancool K62 - but not so many motherboard headers - me thinks lots more connecters to hook up to molex are needed!

Fan should go to CPU fan header. Corsair supplies you with a 4 pin PWM fan which should go in the 4 pin PWM CPU socket on the motherboard. If it wasn't plugged in here, how would the fan speed up if the CPU was overheating?
