Evening gentlefolk,

Wheels on the Saab are not in their best condition...looking to sort out a refurb for them :)

Can anyone recommend anybody...I've been told of one guy who will come to my house and refurb them for £160 in the back of his van for all 4...dunno if I'm likely to see flake on these in a year or so.

So, any recommendations people? Preferably in the Essex/London area if poss but I don't mind travelling at all :)

Thanks,
Jake

Thanks guys, I'll send lepsons an email today :)

EDIT: Emailed :) - if I go with these guys I'll keep this thread updated with pics and progress :)

Save the money for a rainy day, or buy some new(er) ones and sell yours on, unless it comes with good looking ones to begin with.

Had an email back from Lepsons

£188 + vat for all 4, £10 per wheel extra if welding is needed which they shouldn't do as they are not cracked or split etc. Just kerbed...

Will keep hunting :) (even though it's a good price and they aren't far from me so I can run the wheels down there) Doesn't hurt to look.

This is weird, I was just about to start looking into getting my own wheels refurbed and searched the forums for "Lepsons" (a name I'd head mentioned here before) and I find this thread....only to realise you made it just yesterday :o

If you go there soon, any chance you can give us a good run down of their service level/quality? I probably wont be getting mine done yet, but I have three wheels with kerbing and some corrosion I'd like to get sorted. I hear they might be able to provide a courtesy car too, which is a must for me if I go there.

Shamelss bumpification - did you end up going to Lepsons for your wheels Phate? My bonus is due at the end of the month. Think most of it will be going toward a refurbish.

Just to add my 2penneth - if you ever have alloys done in the back of a van, then they're going to be missing out on a proper HF bath and blasting most likely which are extremely beneficial to the longevity of the end product!

Nope, but I will be. It's been an expensive couple of months and the wheels are not a priority. It's having its MOT at the end of the week so it's in the workshop having a few bits sorted (exhaust has started blowing) plus I will be buying tyres this week  - The bodywork/wheels will be sorted in the next couple of months :)

Phate - if you can link your tyres with your wheel refurb you'll save a few bob since you won't have to pay an extra set of costs for fitting and balancing. ;)
