First the good news, no I'm not pregnant ;), I found out this morning that I've been accepted to start training to be a Mother's support which leads on to being a breastfeeding counsellor! I'm so pleased! It's one module and then the counsellor training is 3 years long. Once I've finished I intend on volunteering at my local maternity unit, doctors, health visitor etc and also, hopefully, starting a local group. It's basically to help women with any breastfeeding problems they may have but it covers a lot of areas and is very in depth.

I popped to Morrisons to buy a bottle of champagne to celebrate and the man asked me if I had any identifcation  lol, luckily I had my driving license in my bag and it's photo id. I'm 29 in November as well lol. I get this all the time, I suppose I should be flattered hehe.

I got asked for ID a couple of weeks ago for the first time in about nine years. I looked at the woman and said, "you have got to be joking, I'm 28!!". She then apologised and complained it was because of bad lighting.

congratulations, three years seems like a lot of training for you to then volunteer is there no money in this for you? If not hats off to you for being so generous with your time.

I always find being ID'd amusing being 28 and looking it I tend to laugh and then ask to see the manager as I don't carry ID to much hastle if someone pinches my wallet!

I got ID'd 3 weeks ago to get into a bar, I told him I was 27 and a half, but he still made me get my driving license out to prove it.
When I was 24 I went to buy some fags for my sister, and he asked me for ID, I told him I was 24, and he said prove it, I waved my car keys at him and said
"Well here's my car keys so im 17 at least"
He then looked rather sheepish and let me have the fags.

I got asked for id for some ciggarettes last month, i was like wtf u kidding? Showed him my college pass. All was good.
The think 21 policy usually covers all products that require a certain to purchase. So, you have to look 21+ not to be I.D'ed.

Wasn't the cashiers fault.

Glad you was flattered, I've I.D'ed a women younger than you who moaned at me, would she have preferred I told her she looks 40?

And congrats on the new training/job. :)

Nice one Jodie, my misses is a Paediatrician and she says that a breastfeeding counsellor job isn't as easy as it sounds (obviously you know, I meant for the rest of us), you'll be helping lots of kids get a good healthy start in life.

As a fellow 29'er, I say well done on getting ID'ed :D
