I'm in a Silverstine MLOI case, so must be less than 90mm.

being a watercooler, i know nothing of air coolers!

looking for one that run's silently. it's to cool a stock E4500 on an asus P5E-VM HDMI

You also need to make sure the the cooler doesn't overhang the top of the board by more that a few millimetres - the zalman flower will.

Also the milo also has only ~80mm clearance (after standoffs and mobo are subtracted)

Might need someting like this

Edit: removed mistake

Going by the fact that you said the Milo only has around 80mm space, the later one you linked to would be too tall surely? It has a 92mm fan, and the specs say it's over 130mm tall!

Did you decide which low profile cooler to get Junk?

I have been looking around and there isn't a massive selection of dwarf coolers is there?

Not seen anything that looks like it will be a major improvement over the stock cooler yet?

I think zalman are the way to go on this one. I don't think I've found another company that integrated the fan into the sink.

The CNPS8700 has great reviews. Consider swapping the fan if you fancy yourself as a bit of a modder as it's considered to be a bit loud and lets the sink down a bit.
