Any decent free to download games?

Spheres of Chaos (only the demo is free but it's been keeping me amused for like 6 years now, really should pay the guy...)

Torus Trooper, Synaesthete (sp?), Soldat, Gridrunner, Every Extend (this might only be a trial version), generally if you search around you'll find lots of free indie games, especially shooters.

If you want free modern 3D commercial-quality games that's harder... the multiplayer client for F.E.A.R. is free, and it's a good shooter, used to play it a lot. There's loads of free-to-play MMOs as well, Duneon Runners is a Diablo clone where if you subscribe you get to use better items, it's simple, addictive and fun if you like that style of action-rpg. Archlord is a 3-D MMO from Korea, apparently fairly generic and needs a lot of grind but 500,000 people play it in Europe so it must be doing something right... Dofus is a French MMO, apparently quite good though a bit cartoony in its looks as it's intended for kids.

Yup. SoC has been out for like 15 years now. Used to have the original on the Archimedes.

Cracking game. Used to spend hours on it.
 
Don't forget GTA and GTA 2 are now free to download.

You can also get Beneath A Steel Sky for free if your like me and love a good old fashioned point and click adventure :)

The appeal just never ends doesn't it? I got bored of finishing the demo over and over again about a year ago so I started messing with the mavity and bouncy walls options and that has been keeping me entertained since then without a problem! :p
I REALLY ought to buy the full version, not because the demo isn't enough to keep me playing but because the entertainment that guy has given me is more than most of the £30 games I bought and I owe him!:D
